Warwick ZK1WL launches a 100g-lift meterological balloon. A 100kW peak-pulse-power radar automatically tracks the balloon after launch, and a computer processes the radar output to give a profile of upper-altitude winds. Today's balloon burst at over 20km altitude (12 miles) and the maximum wind was about 28kt at around 10km altitude.
