WELCOME TO THE SEPTEMBER 20-27, 1997 NORTH COOK DXPEDITION BY THE DATELINE DX ASSOCIATION

Initial tabulations of log data indicates a total number of QSOs were made in excess of 15,000 on 10 through 160 meters using 3 modes over 5 1/2 days of actual operating.

We hope we provided you with a new overall country or band counter.

Welcome to ZK1XXP's virtual DXpedition site. We have designed this page to keep you up to date on what happened during our trip to Penrhyn Island in the North Cook Group. We hoped to bring you the latest information, logs, photos, tidbits, and facts as they occurred.

We were also pleased to bring a new feature to DXPedition web sites: N6MZ prepared an extensive series of propagation charts to assist in planning operating patterns. The team used these while on the island. The report is that they pointed out many openings that might have gone unnoticed. Email to the island also alerted the operators to openings to EU to maximize contacts to that difficult part of the world. Coupled with the QRG charts, log lookup features and our talented operating staff we hope you had have no trouble making it in the log.
